Meet Our Readers
Margaret Phillips, Port Clinton
By Sharon Sweda, Feature Writer
It is often said that retirees are busier after retirement than prior to, and Margaret Phillips is a testimony to that declaration. Margaret serves on City Council, is a part-time Ottawa County Juvenile Truancy Mediator, serves as a church lector and distributes communion.
Margaret formerly served with the Ottawa County Retired Teachers Group and continues to publish their newsletter. As a retired English teacher, she has an eye for the written word and when she spotted Leisure Living Magazine at City Hall, she became a follower.
“The magazine looked so inviting,” Margaret emphasizes. “The clarity and the pictures were easily identifiable and the entire publication is so well put together. The articles are well-written and the cover is extremely well done. I like to keep it laying out where it can be seen.”
Margaret’s busy lifestyle keeps her engaged in Port Clinton and she appreciates that Leisure Living Magazine captures the many local attractions so vividly. “The greatest pleasure is to open the magazine and discover photos of attractions that are a part of our lifestyle. The publication is a professional and polished magazine!”

My father was an exemplary caregiver and taught his family much about Alzheimer’s disease along the way. Happy Father’s Day Dad and I hope to see you soon!
